Roboquest is a roguelike with a ton of weapons to choose from - here are the best of the bunch.

Yes, it is possible to make it easier by finding Power Crystals. However, obtaining them is challenging in two ways: they are in very secret locations, and you need to overcome tough challenges. The rewards are very satisfying, both in terms of the permanent effects they give you and making the final chapter easier. Let's go on a Power Crystal hunt together.

Power Crystals, Explained

Roboquest: All Power Crystal Locations (2)

There are six Power Crystals that you can obtain in the game. You can activate or deactivate them using the machine at the Basecamp. Activating them will not only give you an advantage in the final chapter of the game, The Moon, but also grant you a permanent bonus effect.

However, on the flip side, activating Power Crystals will increase the likelihood of encountering Elite enemies.

Blue Power Crystal Location

Effect on The Moon

Reduces IRIS's overcharge speed.

Permanent Effect

Rolling Foot: Increases base movement speed by 5%.

To get the Blue Power Crystal, you need to move very quickly. You have only three minutes to reach the area where it is located, so avoid engaging with any enemies. Start as usual in the Canyons and then proceed to the Oasis region.

Roboquest: All Power Crystal Locations (3)

If you manage to reach the breakpoint area in the Oasis within three minutes, you will see a door covered with purple stones open. If you don't make it in time, the door will appear closed, and you will need to try again. Behind this door is a region called The Rift. There are no enemies in this area, but you need to complete it within a certain time frame.

Keep running and use the rails to speed up. You can increase your speed by collecting the yellow spheres you see on the map. At the end of the level, you will need to defuse a bomb. If you successfully defuse it, a door behind the bomb will open, and the Blue Crystal will be waiting for you inside.

Purple Power Crystal Location

Roboquest: All Power Crystal Locations (4)

Effect on The Moon

Reduces the amount of elite enemies on the Moon.

Permanent Effect

Treasure Hunter: Corrupted crates contain more rewards.

First, start at the Canyons map and proceed to the breakpoint area in the Oasis map. Here, you'll find the Ruins Key. You cannot proceed to the next step within the same run where you obtained the Ruins Key, so you must restart from the beginning.

Roboquest: All Power Crystal Locations (5)

Upon restarting at the Canyons, use the Ruins Key to enter the Ruins instead of heading to the Oasis break point. Once in the Ruins, explore the map thoroughly until you see a yellow-marked area on the top-right of your map. There, you’ll find a tunnel filled with lasers.

While you can pass through the lasers, it will significantly reduce your health. Instead, find four buttons to deactivate the lasers:

Roboquest: All Power Crystal Locations (6)

First Button

On top of a rusty truck directly opposite the laser-filled tunnel.

Roboquest: All Power Crystal Locations (7)

Second Button

Navigate to area of ruins that is above the laser tunnel. Behind a truck in that area, you’ll find the button.

Roboquest: All Power Crystal Locations (8)

Third Button

Enter the laser tunnel and look to your left while standing in front of the lasers.

Roboquest: All Power Crystal Locations (9)

Fourth Button

Look to the right from the location of the second button. You’ll see a billboard in the distance with the button underneath. Stand below and press it.

In the Ruins, you’ll reach Old Sewers where you’ll find the Tech Room Key needed for the Red Crystal after you reach the end of the laser-covered tunnel.

Roboquest: All Power Crystal Locations (10)

After obtaining the Tech Room Key, proceed through the door to enter the Scrapyard. At the end of the Scrapyard, you’ll face a boss group called Gang of Elites. Defeat them to claim the Purple Power Crystal.

Red Power Crystal Location

Roboquest: All Power Crystal Locations (11)

Effect on The Moon

Deactivates all lasers on the Moon.

Permanent Effect

Say My Name!: Heisenbot sometimes joins Max's friendly bots. It can craft corrupted items using Powercell.

To obtain the Red Crystal, after reaching the breakpoint in the Fields, use the Tech Room key found in Ruins to unlock the closed door. Inside, you'll find the Quarry Key. Once you have it, you'll need to start a new run. Start from Canyon as usual, but this time you need to pass through the Quarry gate at the breakpoint area.

Roboquest: All Power Crystal Locations (12)

Before entering the Quarry Gate, remember the three-digit code located on the left side of the door. You'll need it, and each player has a different code.

Use the key you found in the Tech Room in Fields to unlock the gate. After reaching the yellow-colored area on the upper right of the mini-map in Quarry, you'll encounter a door that requires a three-digit code. Enter the code you remembered to open the door. Once through, you'll arrive at the Excavation Site.

You need to reach the door above the Excavation Site. To do this, if you can reach the top of the corrupted area in Quarry, you can interact with the small robot there to obtain the Pogo Stick.

Remember that you need a weapon that will propel you to where the robot is located.

After acquiring the Pogo Stick, you can reach the door to The Pit in the Excavation Site.

Roboquest: All Power Crystal Locations (13)

After entering through the door, you will reach The Pit. The Pit differs from normal maps as it features three Corrupted Challenges. After clearing all three challenges, you'll face the boss named El'Moustiko. Once you defeat the boss, the Red Power Crystal will be yours.

Teal Power Crystal Location

Effect on The Moon

Suppresses the Hack Flies reinforcements on the Moon.

Permanent Effect

Scavenger: Elite enemies have more chance of dropping Powercells.

To acquire this Power Crystal, you need to reach the Tech Room in the second chapter of the game, Fields, with 25 Power Cells. Therefore, avoid spending Power Cells throughout your run and collect Power Cell rewards from Corrupted Rooms.

Remember that if you unlock the Power Cell Bank upgrade, you will start the game with eight Power Cells.

Upon entering the Tech Room and providing 25 Power Cells at the door, you will arrive at an area called Doom Gardens. This is again a timed area with exploding red mini robots. While swiftly progressing towards the end of the area, you can increase your time by detonating the green mini robots.

When you reach the end of the area, the Teal Power Crystal will be yours.

Roboquest: All Power Crystal Locations (14)

After obtaining this crystal, head directly to Aqua Station. At the entrance location where you arrive from Doom Gardens to Aqua Station, you will find the Tech Lab Key needed for the next crystal. Don't end your current run to obtain the next crystal without wasting time.

Yellow Power Crystal Location

Roboquest: All Power Crystal Locations (15)

Effect on The Moon

Reduces IRIS's health.

Permanent Effect

Rocket Pants: Grants an additional jump.

If you progress from Doom Gardens to Aqua Station, you'll reach a special entrance area where you'll find the Tech Lab Key. Otherwise, unfortunately, you can't obtain this key.

Afterward, complete Aqua Station and head to the Energy Center. At the breakpoint there, you'll enter a closed area. Use the Tech Lab Key you found to unlock the door. Inside, you'll find Heisenbot, from whom you can obtain the Fusion Core Key by spending nine Power Cells.

While you can find Heisenbot selling the Fusion Core Key elsewhere, it's guaranteed to be available at the Tech Lab.

Roboquest: All Power Crystal Locations (16)

Then, you'll need to start a new run again. Make your way back to Aqua Station. The quickest way is to directly reach Aqua Station from the Quarry. Once at Aqua Station, use the Fusion Core Key to access the Fusion Core.

Roboquest: All Power Crystal Locations (17)

You'll need to be careful here as the area is covered in acid, and small robots mounted on walls can be bothersome. Choosing the Captain character, who can prevent damage for a certain period, might be a good option.

Roboquest: All Power Crystal Locations (18)

After defeating the boss named Duke Nuker at the end of this area, the Yellow Power Crystal will be yours.

Green Power Crystal Location

Roboquest: All Power Crystal Locations (19)

To reach the Green Power Crystal, you need to head to the Waste Station. There are two ways to get there. The first one is to pass through the portal located on the wall of the corrupted area in Fields.

Roboquest: All Power Crystal Locations (20)

Another method is to reach the Waste Station from Quarry to the Aqua Station. Before entering the breakpoint, find the hidden passage next to the vine-covered area on the left side of the waterfall.

Whichever path you choose, you'll arrive at the Waste Station. Here, similar to the Blue Power Crystal, there's a bomb that will detonate, making it a timed level.

Roboquest: All Power Crystal Locations (21)

This area is swarming with enemies and obstacles that can slow you down. Don't get distracted by any of them and try to reach the bomb at the end of the level. The Guardian character is ideal for this level as it is immune to damage for a certain period. Once you defuse the bomb, you'll obtain the Green Power Crystal.
