I’m thinking I’m the Space Needle, Pike Place, Pioneer Square vicinity. I can run an 18 minute 5k, so I don’t usually worry about being accosted, but I’ll have the family with me and if I ran away and they got killed or something I wouldn’t look very good on the news.
It's not a good idea, OP, and I strongly question your man instincts. You thought it was a good idea to drag your whole family out for a night run in a strange, crime-ridden city?
And half the people who tell you to go ahead and do it, they are only telling you this because the odds of your family getting attacked are less than 50%.
Just do your family run in the daytime, like a man who actually cares about his family.
If you and/or a loved one turned up dead, nobody in Seattle would be surprised, nor would your killer likely be brought to justice.
Why would you trust the safety of your family to drug addicts under cover of the night?
And in downtown Seattle of all places. Just naive. You must be an idealistic liberal too.
